ISO/IEC 25000 in the I Conference on Software Product Quality

Software product quality evaluation conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 was featured in the talks at the I Jornada sobre Calidad de Producto Software (I Conference on Software Product Quality), which was held in Madrid, Spain, on 21 and 22 November, 2013.

Jornadas sobre Calidad de Producto Software (JCPS) is an event aimed to discuss about Software Engineering and set goals for Software Product Quality Control in the short and medium term.

The conference focuses on the impact of Software Product Quality from five points of view:

  • Big companies that outsource their developments
  • Companies and factories that develop softwae products
  • Standards that support software quality
  • Companies that provide solutions for the control of software quality
  • Universities, mentoring and training future professionals on aspects related to software product quality

This conference is a meeting point for the discussion and dissemination of the work carried out by researchers, universities and professionals from Spain, Portugal and Latin America that are interested in increasing the business value they provide by controlling and optimizing the quality of their products.

Software product quality evaluation conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 was featured among the topics of the conference by means of the talk given by Moisés Rodríguez, director of Alarcos Quality Center. This talk adressed the most relevant international standards on software quality (ISO/IEC 25000, ISO/IEC 9126, and ISO/IEC 14598) and how they are the basis for the software product quality evaluation and certification service that AQC Lab and AENOR provide.
