AENOR present in their magazine the Trust Platform: "Ensuring Software and Data Quality", which includes a set of solutions based on ISO standards to generate trust between organisations and people in the field of ICT risks, related to the development and maintenance of software and data quality. An important foundation of this platform is the ISO 25000 family of standards.
This platform emphasises the importance of continuous quality improvement, reducing the risks associated with software development and maintenance, and considering the intrinsic quality of data with a two-pronged approach: process and product.
The product trust approach, both for software and data quality, is based on ISO 25000 certification:
- The Product Quality (Software)-ISO 25010 certification assesses different characteristics, such as maintainability (capability of the software product to be modified effectively, efficiently and without errors) or functionality (capability of the software product to meet the user's requirements).
- For its part, the Product Quality (Data)-ISO/IEC 25012 certification is aimed at the quality of the repositories or databases themselves (whether they are files, relational databases, NO-SQL databases, data warehouses, data lakes, big data, etc.), considering the business rules and the data as the main asset in organisations to determine their intrinsic quality (accuracy, completeness, consistency, credibility and currentness).
AENOR, together with AQCLab as a partner, have been pioneers in Spain, Europe and Latam in the evaluation and certification of software product and data quality, with experience in organisations such as CGM Clinical Spain, Viajes El Corte Inglés, Buró de Crédito (Mexico), the Italian Chamber of Commerce or the Italian Ministry of Economy, which have ensured the quality of their software products and their data with ISO 25000.
