The VIII Congreso Nacional y Exposición: VISION13, organized by itSMF España, took place on 11 and 12 November at the Hotel NH Parque Avenidas in Madrid, and it attracted more than 400 registered attendees. Under the motto "Impulsando los nuevos modelos de negocio" ("Promoting new business models"), the congress included software product quality evaluation conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 among its topics for the first time.
The programme of VISION13 featured talks given by national and international experts and aimed at CxOs, IT executives and professionals. The presentations addressed a wide range of topics, such as Cloud Computing, Governance and Management of ICT, the ICT professional of the future, security and auditing, as well as other current trends (mobility, M2M, Big Data, Smarter Planet ...)
The congress also paid attention talks, case studies and success stories related to ICT frameworks and standards, such as ITIL® 2011, ISO20000-2011, ISO38500, COBIT 5, ISO27000, LEAN IT, PRINCE2®, PMI®, CMMI-SVC®, ISO 21500, ISO 22301, etc.
For the first time, software product quality evaluation conforming to ISO/IEC 25000 was addressed at an itSMF congress. The talk given by Misés Rodríguez, director of Alarcos Quality Center, and Carlos Manuel Fernández, ICT Manager at AENOR, dealt with the software product quality evaluation and certification service based on ISO/IEC 25000 that AQC Lab and AENOR provide.
