Data Quality Certificate - Infocamere

Registro Imprese (Register of Companies), one of the databases of national interest provided for by the Digital Administration Code, is the official register of all companies in Italy, containing data on 6 million companies, 10 million people and over one million balance sheets. It also follows the lines established for the databases of national interest by the Agency for a Digital Italy (AGID).

As such, it is a fundamental archive for the development of economic and business development indicators, providing a complete and up-to-date picture of the legal situation of every Italian company. The management of this database is carried out by InfoCamere together with the Italian Chambers of Commerce and Unioncamere, assuming different roles and tasks.

InfoCamere, the society of Italian Chambers of Commerce for digital innovation, becomes the first organization in Italy to obtain this certification by AENOR and the Italian Business Register is the first European Business Register database to be certified.

According to the president of InfoCamere, Lorenzo Tagliavanti, "the certification obtained is a recognition of the daily commitment that InfoCamere and the Chambers of Commerce put in the collection, management and dissemination of data on Italian companies and the effort to integrate them with other sources of public information". Furthermore, he comments that "in a context where the volume of information grows exponentially, the quality and accuracy of the data is essential to support complex decisions of institutions, companies and citizens".
